Eriberto Jiménez
Born in Bogota, Colombia, with training in classical ballet, jazz, modern and contemporary dance, Eriberto Jimenez started his dance training at Triknia Kabhelioz Contemporary School of Dance, becoming a member of the company and participating in many of their national and international tours. He was awarded scholarships to study at the Joffrey Ballet School in New York, the Ballet Academy of Miami, and the Miami Hispanic Ballet. A regular guest artist throughout the U.S. Southern region, Mr. Jimenez danced with several touring entertainment companies, as well as touring with different artists. Working for musical videos, television shows, he was also a choreographer for "Sabado Gigante" Univision TV.
Mr. Jimenez was a resident guest artist for the Carolina Ballet, Expressions Dance Company, Ballet Theater of Miami, South Florida Ballet Theater and New Century Dance Company, as well as a soloist with the International Ballet Company and the Miami Hispanic Ballet. Throughout the years he has developed his career as a choreographer and professor with the Carolina Ballet School and Company, Center for Dance Education, Lexington Dance Center, Columbia Ballet School, Miami Classical Ballet School, Ballet Institute, Ballet Concerto, Balletique, International Ballet Academy and Company, Miami Contemporary Dance, and Miami Hispanic Ballet School and Company.
Over the past twenty-five years, he has been the General Assistant of the Miami Hispanic Cultural Arts Center and Creation Art Center, Ballet Master and choreographer for the Cuban Classical Ballet of Miami, as well as Director’s Assistant and Coordinator for the International Ballet Festival of Miami. After Founder and Director Pedro Pablo Pena’s recent passing, Mr. Jimenez has assumed the position of Executive and Artistic Director of the three organizations.
